Scout & Guide Hall Mullumbimby
Byron Shire Council is currently engaged in a deliberative process to determine the optimal strategy and outcomes for the Old Scout Hall on Burringbar Street, Mullumbimby after the Flood Event of February 2022 and its impact on the building and surrounds.
In response to a site inspection of the affected area, Town Planning advice has affirmed that the necessary works will trigger a Development Application. However, the exact scope of these works remains pending, contingent upon further investigations and comprehensive reports.
Marcon has been entrusted with the responsibility to identify and engage the appropriate experts. Working closely with the Byron Shire Council, our task involves appointing a diverse array of consultants to undertake the requisite assessments. Subsequently, these consultant reports will furnish us with the insights needed to provide informed recommendations on the optimal strategy moving forward. This includes aspects such as design considerations, Authority Approvals, tender processes, and eventual construction activities, all aligned with the desired scope of works.
As we embark on this collaborative endeavour, our objective remains focused on delivering solutions that not only address the challenges posed by the flood event but also contribute to the long-term resilience and functionality of the Old Scout Hall and its surrounding environment. -
